About the Role

As an R&D Chemist at Bona, you will be part of a creative team working to develop and improve water-based coatings for floors. The role is hands-on and involves significant time in the lab where you formulate, test, and evaluate new products. You will manage several development projects simultaneously and collaborate closely with other functions within the company such as product technicians, purchasing, environment, quality, and production. The work is varied and requires you to prioritize when circumstances change. It is a day-to-day environment where you can use both your creative side and problem-solving skills, and you have the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and develop new testing methods.

More specifically, the position includes:

- Formulating and testing water-based coatings in a lab environment

- Conducting literature searches and liaising with raw material suppliers

- Collaborating closely with internal functions

- Contributing ideas, development initiatives, new testing methods, and improvements

About You

We are looking for someone who is curious and has a desire to understand how things are interconnected, both at a detailed level and in a broader context. You are self-motivated, solution-oriented, and willing to test new ideas while having the ability to analyze, reflect, and learn even when things do not go as planned.

The following are requirements for the position:

- University degree in chemistry

- Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

- Good computer skills

Preferred:

- Experience in formulation or product development

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Salary: According to agreement
