Job responsibilities

In the role of analytical chemist at APL, you will work in their quality control laboratory in Malmö together with a team of about 14 people. Together, you will be responsible for the quality control of the products manufactured at APL's various production units.

Your main tasks will involve performing chemical and physical analyses of various types of products. You will also work with several different analytical techniques, such as wet chemical methods, FTIR, titration, UV/Vis, and chromatographic techniques like GC and HPLC/UPLC. 

Since the work takes place in a regulated environment, it is important that you understand the implications of working according to applicable quality requirements and have some prior experience in this – for example, from a laboratory or a production environment where regulations such as GMP, GLP, or ISO are applied. It does not have to be for an extended period, but you should have worked in such an environment long enough to have a basic understanding of the requirements for accuracy and documentation.

  • Perform chemical and physical analyses of products in a quality control laboratory
  • Work and collaborate with various analytical techniques, including wet chemical methods, FTIR, titration, UV/Vis, GC, and HPLC/UPLC

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • Academic degree with a focus on chemistry or biomedical analyst 
  • Experience working in regulated environments, according to regulations such as GMP, GLP, or ISO
  • Meritorious with knowledge and experience of LIMS & Empower
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
