Job Description
We are now looking for a Category Buyer within Direct Materials on behalf of our client – an exciting player in the industry. This role has a strong focus on the category of General Industrial Supplies. What sets you apart is your deep understanding of the wholesale market; you know how they operate, understand their products, and can navigate their processes.

Location: Stockholm, but some travel is included in the position.
Assignment length: Full-time, immediate start until 31.08.2026.

Responsibilities
As a Category Buyer, you act as the link between internal stakeholders and external suppliers/wholesalers. Your task is to ensure that the flow for General Industrial Supplies is as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Your main tasks:
- Implementation of framework agreements: Lead the work of implementing framework agreements with Scandinavian distributors/wholesalers by matching internal needs with suppliers' capacity.
- Management of purchasing needs: Responsible for and manage incoming purchasing requests within the category.
- System integration and catalogs: Coordinate suppliers' implementation of catalog-based solutions directly into the client's ERP system.
- Follow-up and adoption: Ensure that the agreements and new working methods are actually used and adhered to in the organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong experience in the wholesale market: You have a very good understanding of major players and understand their business models and products.
- Experience in purchasing: You are used to managing suppliers in the Swedish market, focusing on Direct Materials.
- Understanding of agreements and standardization: You have solid knowledge of framework agreements and how to drive material standardization.
- Language and travel: You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English and have the ability to travel within Sweden every other week.
- Personal qualities: You are proactive, self-driven, and enjoy working towards deadlines under pressure.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Specific experience in the category of "General Industrial Supplies"
