Our Operations
Are you interested in working as a senior nurse where no day looks the same? If so, you will thrive with us in Geriatrics. Here you will have the chance to develop a new role as an operational nurse with a varied number of roles and responsibilities in your assignment. You will work both as a nursing team nurse and an operational nurse, supporting other staff, being responsible for training, and sometimes taking on the role of patient flow coordinator (coordination of care places).
In the geriatric acute care department 30A, the elderly, frail patient is in focus. We provide medical acute care with a rehabilitative approach for older patients with varying care needs. Together, we are innovative and continuously work on improvements to make care as good as possible for our patients and improve the working environment for our staff/colleagues.
Your Assignment
Your assignment is varied, but the main task is as an operational nurse who provides support, help, and training to the nursing staff. This role is new, and therefore you have the opportunity to influence its content and develop the role together with the department managers.
- You are responsible for organizing and conducting training in the department, such as practical exercises at KTC, booking CPR training for all nursing staff, and being responsible for the summer's introduction days for our temporary staff.
- You work closely with the department managers and can take on the role of nurse 1 in their absence.
- If needed, you are responsible for patient flow in the department, coordinating role.
- Clinical supervision based on professional level.
- Scheduled time as an operational nurse where you provide support, coaching, and help to the nursing staff.
- Approximately 30-40% of your time you will work as a nurse in a care team where weekend work is included in the assignment.
Your Qualifications & Competence
- You are an experienced nurse with at least 5 years in the profession.
- You have good experience working in inpatient care.
- You have a strong interest in coaching and training colleagues in care and in medical technical procedures, etc.
- It is a merit if you have previously worked with geriatrics.
- You are service-oriented and independent in your role. You have the ability to switch pace and change focus to where the need is greatest.
- It is a merit if you have completed clinical supervision training via the professional step or have an interest in taking the training to support and supervise new colleagues in the department.

A permanent position as a nurse with a special function. Weekend work is included in the assignment. Start date and scope of the position can be discussed. A probationary period may apply.
