The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

The municipality's home care service is the largest provider in Umeå with the longest experience in personal care and service. Our home care service provides various forms of support, service, and care in the home. We are the unit that handles all care interventions where our clients live in their own homes within Umeå municipality. Most of our staff are care assistants whom we continuously train. The home care service is also responsible for responding to and managing security alarms that occur at night.

We are now looking for a new colleague to our team in home care at Teg!

Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who, through a good approach and a professional working method, assists our elderly clients in their daily lives with personal hygiene, transfers, meal preparation, and administering medication.

The goal is to enable the elderly to stay in their homes for as long as they wish.

You will work based on the assignment where the client's self-determination and participation are always at the center. This way, we ensure that the interventions are of high quality and carried out according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

Administrative tasks are also included in the position, such as documenting health status and any deviations in our documentation system.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant with experience in home care.

To communicate with clients, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You must be able to cycle both in summer and winter, and have a valid B driver's license as you will be traveling by both bicycle and car in the position.

As a person, you have high integrity, are attentive, empathetic, and enjoy working independently. You show great commitment to both clients and the organization in all relationships and actions. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Heavy lifting may occur, and mobility aids should be used.

Pets and smoking may be present in the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
