Physiotherapist to the Rehabilitation Unit at Lycksele Hospital

Lycksele Hospital is one of three hospitals in Region Västerbotten. Our catchment area is the southern Lapland inland. Our hospital is of a moderate size, development-oriented, and with a strong focus on collaboration, making it easy to communicate across our clinical boundaries. At the Rehabilitation Unit at Lycksele Hospital, there is currently a wonderful team of physiotherapists (8) and occupational therapists (6) as well as a rehabilitation assistant. We have close collaboration with social workers, speech therapists, and dietitians. Our services are offered to the rehabilitation/stroke department, medical department, medical outpatient clinic, surgical department, surgical outpatient clinic, day rehabilitation (outpatient patients coming for training), lung rehabilitation team, traffic medicine team, heart team, diabetes team, and home rehabilitation. When needed, we also work in maternity/gynaecology, dialysis, emergency, and intensive care.

Each physiotherapist has their own areas of responsibility/specialization, but we help each other during busy periods and during absences, so there are great opportunities to learn multiple areas. As a new employee with us, you will receive a good onboarding and a mentor to ask about everything from practical details to discussing deeper physiotherapeutic perspectives. Many of your future colleagues have long experience in the profession and thus also high competence. The atmosphere in the workgroup is good as we have a high ceiling and place great importance on soft values. In our workgroup, besides performing our work, it is also important to care for each other and to have fun at work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a physiotherapist with us, you will work with assessment, rehabilitation, and advice for patients with issues related to the musculoskeletal system. You will also actively participate in our teamwork around these patients. The work is very varied, and many of our physiotherapists work both in departments and in outpatient services, allowing them to meet many different diagnoses and thus gain broad competence as physiotherapists.

Due to the increasing demand for our services at the hospital recently, we now need to expand our basic staffing with one more employee.

Our clinic is characterized by being able to offer good service, quality, and accessibility and strives to have engaged patients. This is in accordance with our clinic vision that states that patients should be met with soft hands, sharp minds, and warm hearts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist, preferably with experience, but it is not a requirement. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in healthcare. As a person, you are secure in your professional role and have good self-awareness.

You enjoy juggling many tasks at once and need to be able to quickly adjust your daily planning as circumstances can change rapidly.

You are good at structuring your work and taking responsibility for driving your own processes forward. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written form, including documentation. You can collaborate with many different personalities and enjoy working both independently and in a team.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
