Job Description

At the cardiology clinic, we work daytime 40 hours a week, no weekends or public holidays. You will have your own patient visits where you follow up and adjust prescribed medication treatments for various diagnoses such as heart failure, ischemia, and arrhythmias. You will perform exercise tests, interpret long-term ECGs, participate in TEE examinations, and provide telephone advice to the patients we are connected to. We also have a pacemaker clinic. The outpatient work also involves a certain amount of administration, and you need to feel comfortable working in several different systems and applications.

We actively work with several quality registers within cardiology, which means both registering and following up results and taking action based on this. In addition to collaborating within our own team, we work closely with neighboring care providers such as Rehab West, to put the patient's best interests at the center. There is an opportunity to specialize in various areas of interest, and we attend regular training meetings where we network and stay updated within cardiology.

Work Group

The work group currently consists of 4 nurses, a nursing assistant, a dietitian, and you will also meet several of the clinic's doctors. We have continuous contact in the team, and the group has broad experience and a lot of knowledge, sharing generously with others.

The entire outpatient unit consists of 10 different specialist clinics, all with the same managers, which means that you will have about 30 new colleagues with whom you share the workplace and jointly have APT, training, and other activities together.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Since the position requires a high degree of independence and qualified advice, we see that you need to have several years of experience as a nurse, preferably within cardiology. If you have not worked in this area before, an internship and service in our heart department will be included at an appropriate time at the beginning of your employment. It is desirable that you have training in the heart area; if you do not, we expect you to be interested in taking an advanced course of at least 7.5 higher education credits during the first or second year.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you speak more languages, this can be an advantage for the position.
