We are now looking for two medical secretaries for our clinics within the orthopedic unit (VO).
The orthopedic unit operates at two locations, Hässleholm and Kristianstad, where the medical secretaries are coordinated under one manager. In Hässleholm, we primarily conduct planned activities, while Kristianstad mainly handles acute patients. Within the orthopedic unit, we have around 180 employees, of which about 25 work as medical secretaries. We are currently facing exciting changes as a new medical record system will be implemented shortly, and a complete reconstruction of the surgical and outpatient units is underway.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a medical secretary within the orthopedic unit, you play a central role in the operation and provide important administrative support to both patients and healthcare staff. You work closely with doctors and other professional categories and contribute to creating structure, good accessibility, and a safe patient flow.
The work is varied and includes medical documentation and record-keeping, registration and follow-up, appointment booking, telephone service, and other administrative tasks that occur in a clinic. The positions are located in Kristianstad and Hässleholm, and you indicate in the application form which location you are applying for.
With us, there is an opportunity to develop in the role of a medical secretary by taking responsibility for your own areas of work, such as diagnosis classification, case management in 1177, or work with quality registers. You will receive an introduction tailored to your previous experiences to ensure a safe and good start in the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who have training in Health and Medical Administration of 80 KY points or 400 YH points, or equivalent training as a medical secretary. For the position, it is also required that you have good knowledge of both medical terminology and the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Previous experience in administrative work within healthcare is an advantage.
