Medical Secretary for BUP Inpatient Care
Do you want to be part of an organization that makes a difference for children and adolescents? Do you enjoy working in a changing environment? BUP Inpatient Care is now looking for two dedicated medical secretaries.
BUP Stockholm's Inpatient Care section is Sweden's largest inpatient care facility within child and adolescent psychiatry. The section consists of three units that provide inpatient care and an emergency reception. Most of the units are located in Södermalm, overlooking Årstaviken, and one unit is located at St Göran's hospital area in Kungsholmen.
The inpatient care units provide treatment for children and adolescents with complex psychiatric disorders and conditions such as psychoses, depression, eating disorders, trauma, etc., sometimes in combination with social difficulties or neuropsychiatric disabilities. Care is provided according to both HSL and LPT.
Job Description
You will work closely with both doctors and managers. Your tasks include writing medical records and managing documents in the Take Care journal system, LPT documentation control, handling cases in the Administrative Court, invoice management in Raindance, as well as other administrative support for managers, staff, and doctors.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a degree as a medical secretary. Experience in inpatient care is an advantage.

Employment Type

BUP Acute and Inpatient Care is part of BUP Stockholm. Child and adolescent psychiatry in Stockholm (BUP) offers specialized psychiatric care for children and adolescents under 18 years within Stockholm County. We are part of the Stockholm County healthcare area, which is a provider within Region Stockholm. Together, we at BUP Stockholm have over 1,200 employees who meet more than 22,000 children, adolescents, and their families each year.
The position will be filled provided that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
For patient-related work within the Stockholm County healthcare area:
- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
