This position belongs to the Office's Operations and Maintenance Department, the Parks and Land Unit. The unit employs over 20 people who manage and maintain green environments and manage the municipality's land reserve. In addition to landscape engineers, we also have outdoor coordinators, ecologists, limnologists, land managers, and landscape architects, as well as two team leaders. Our work makes a difference for those who live, visit, and work in Norrköping!

Your tasks

As a landscape engineer with us, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that shape today's and tomorrow's Norrköping. You will be part of a competent and committed team that shares your passion for sustainable and purposeful maintenance!

In operations and maintenance, you, as a landscape engineer, along with your colleagues, are responsible for ensuring that parks, squares, green areas, and play environments are operated, maintained, and reinvested. You will be responsible for a geographical area where you work both short and long term in close collaboration with other subject areas and the office's planning functions. In your assignment, you will plan and specify procurements and work in close dialogue with contracted entrepreneurs during ongoing contract periods.

You may also act as a project and/or construction manager in your own smaller projects, which requires a high level of technical and practical competence in your areas of expertise. Depending on your competence, interest, and the needs of the organization, specific areas of responsibility may also be added, such as play environments, tree issues, or others. In your role, you will also have many contacts both internally and externally with both businesses and municipal citizens. You will respond to comments and inquiries in a customer-adapted manner with a good attitude, balancing a high level of service with legal security.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with education or experience equivalent to a landscape engineer or alternatively a construction manager or contracting engineer with a green profile. You preferably have a few years of experience working with the operation and maintenance of public environments, either as a client or a contractor, for example as a foreman or site manager.

Furthermore, you have good knowledge of planning and following up measures and have specific competence in land, construction, as well as tree and plant knowledge. Knowledge in inspection is viewed positively. You have a B driver's license for manual transmission.
