We are looking for 3-4 Timber Measurers for the summer of 2025

What does a timber measurer do?

When the forest is harvested, the timber needs to be measured. Ensuring accurate measurements is crucial for the forest owner to receive fair payment, and this is where you come in as a timber measurer. Your job is important for both sellers and buyers.

Your responsibilities

You will work as a summer substitute at the Norrköping district, during the period from week 25 to week 33. Working hours vary across different industries and may include two-shift, 38-hour shifts, and/or three-shift schedules, with a workload of 37 hours per week. Your tasks will include measuring various assortments and other duties at the measuring station such as cleaning and administration. As a trained timber measurer, you will be responsible for the daily operations at the measuring station and maintain regular contact with both drivers and customers. Work is to be carried out according to our values, meaning in a reliable, impartial, and engaged manner. Of course, we do it together!

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, values order and tidiness, and enjoys working. You should be service-oriented towards both customers and colleagues, have good teamwork skills, and be a team player. You are engaged, professional, trustworthy, and have a knack for identifying areas of improvement to enhance your daily work. Furthermore, you should be comfortable working practically and in digital systems, and be able to communicate effectively in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A requirement for the position is that you have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

Desired qualifications

It is desirable that you can work on support days during the spring for training before the summer.

Forestry knowledge and experience in timber measurement are considered advantageous, as well as the ability to communicate in English, but it is not a requirement.
