At Nature and Construction, our mission is to strengthen and develop people with functional variations to help them move towards the regular labor market. We believe in offering participants meaningful work, responsibility, and the opportunity to see the results of their efforts as keys to personal development.

We are Norrköping's municipal contractor for operational and maintenance assignments, focusing on external maintenance of properties in the city and clearing in forest and nature conservation areas. Those who hire us are municipal or public organizations, and our working methods are adapted to the conditions of the individuals participating in the activities.

We have two depots, one in Bråvalla and one in Sylten, as well as a carpentry workshop on Bangårdsgatan. Our unit is part of the Community Building Office's department for Operations and Maintenance, which is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's parks and natural areas, streets and roads, tram tracks, property management, and maintenance. Our operations also include the municipality's greenhouse. Today, we have about twenty employees and approximately 65 participants in our activities.

We are now looking for 2 dedicated team leaders for our depot in Bråvalla who want to make a difference!

Your tasks

As a team leader at Nature and Construction, you are a key person who leads, guides, and supervises people with various challenges, such as cognitive disabilities or reduced work capacity due to addiction or dependency issues.

You will lead a work team of four to six participants in their daily tasks and actively participate in the team's work. Your primary task will be to motivate, set demands, and offer support to help participants integrate into the labor market or find other meaningful activities that empower individuals towards their own livelihood.

You will closely collaborate with your fellow team leaders and receive good support from our job consultants to best meet and supervise our participants.

With us, you will have the opportunity to be outdoors during your workdays, as the work takes place outdoors year-round with a focus on maintenance and nature conservation.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with at least a high school diploma, preferably with relevant education related to property technology/forestry or nature management and/or social work. If you have leadership training or experience working in a similar supervisory role, it is an advantage.

It is beneficial if you are also practically inclined and have practical skills, as you will actively participate in the team's tasks.

In the role of team leader, we highly value your ability to collaborate and focus on teamwork. For you to thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are attentive and clear in your communication, both verbally and in action, where you are skilled at including and valuing contributions and ideas from our participants.

Persistence is crucial in the work, especially when working with people with various challenges. Being able to stick to goals and tasks over time is central, where you understand your role and the best interests of the organization.

Your ability to inspire motivation is valuable as you will support and motivate participants to learn and develop together. You have a very good balance between being a secure leader and being a calm and empathetic person.

For the position, it is desirable if you have a BE driving license and/or chainsaw A+B.
