Your Future Workplace

Medical Care Unit A at Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping is a medical ward focused on hematology and nephrology. The unit is located in building D1/D2, which is the new construction at Ryhov, and the unit has new and fresh purpose-built facilities. The ward has 22 patient beds. The unit also includes outpatient services in hematology, which consists of a treatment part and an outpatient part. We also have a close collaboration with the dialysis department and the nephrology clinic.

At the medical clinic, improvement work is carried out in all units; it is a clinic that is constantly evolving. We have a good collaborative climate where we value teamwork, and we actively work with person-centered care.

The department is focused on hematology and nephrology, and as a nursing assistant, you will work in a highly developing workplace. In hematology, various blood diseases such as leukemia, myeloma, and lymphoma, as well as anemias, venous thrombosis, and pulmonary embolisms are investigated and treated. Blood and chemotherapy handling is common. We also isolate patients who are immunocompromised due to chemotherapy or bone marrow transplants. Sepsis is a common complication in these patients. In nephrology, patients with acute or chronic kidney failure are cared for, with a wide range of underlying causes that are investigated and treated. Here, patients are cared for after kidney biopsies, kidney transplants, and more. We also care for patients who need assistance with the initiation of peritoneal dialysis, in cases of peritonitis or other complications, as well as patients receiving hemodialysis in the dialysis department but who require inpatient care for various reasons. Here in the unit, we work according to RAK (right use of competence), which means redistributing tasks to employees with the right level of competence. This has proven to improve the quality of care, where the competence of healthcare professionals is utilized and used correctly. It also contributes to development, better accessibility, and increased patient safety. Practically, this means that we have service staff who handle meal management, transportation, cleaning, storage, etc., within the care unit, allowing you as a nursing assistant to focus entirely on patient-centered care and thus enhance quality.

Working Hours:

• Day shift 06:45-15:30
• Evening shift 13:30-21:30

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and who is passionate about your profession.
