Your new job

Together with other staff, you will provide our tenants with personal care and support as well as daily rehabilitation. You will motivate and stimulate individuals based on their personal conditions, needs, and wishes. This is to ensure that residents can live as rich and normal a life as possible. Your tasks will also include providing advanced care and performing medical tasks such as administering medication, maintaining documentation, simple wound dressings, and rehabilitation training. Case management, implementation plans, and social documentation are also central parts of the role.

Just as the tenants become a part of our everyday life, so do their relatives. You will also have close contact with unit managers who are present, and you will collaborate with other professionals such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.

Your qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant. Previous experience in care and support is an advantage. Since contact with tenants, relatives, documentation, and reading information relevant to the work is central to your role, you must be proficient in Swedish in spoken, written, and reading comprehension. You should also have good computer skills as documentation is done on a computer.

The work requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a manner suited to the situation.

Welcome to us

Kristinedal Elderly Home is centrally located in Väster in Jönköping with good transport links. The elderly home consists of a dementia unit, short-term care unit, and special housing. We currently have about 60 employees working here. We are currently looking for care assistants with experience for the home.

The special housing consists of two units with a total of 20 places and about 20 employees. We work from a person-centered care approach with supportive relationships. There is close collaboration with various professional roles such as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers.

Good to know

The recruitment pertains to a permanent full-time position with a start date to be agreed upon. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, both weekdays and weekends. We work with co-planning, which means that work across multiple units will be relevant. Jönköping Municipality strives for full-time as the norm and always offers a 100% employment rate.
