School Psychologist for Nässjö Municipality's Central Student Health

Do you want to, like us, drive and develop Nässjö's student health? We are three licensed psychologists now looking for a fourth colleague for Nässjö Municipality's central student health. We are passionate about creating the best conditions for the municipality's students to reach their full potential and are looking for someone who shares this vision. The central student health team consists of a wide range of professionals. In addition to us as school psychologists, there are special educators, special teachers, counselors, school nurses, school doctors, speech therapists, occupational therapists, educators, student coaches, and development teachers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves a wide variety of tasks at the individual, group, and organizational levels. As a school psychologist, you will bring the psychological perspective to the organization. This involves collaboration with various professionals both in the central student health organization and with the schools. The work primarily focuses on preventive and health-promoting efforts by creating accessible learning environments and removing barriers to learning. Examples of tasks include conducting school psychological assessments, supervising work teams and educators, and providing consultative work in the schools' student health teams. You will also be able to develop methods and structures within your own student health organization.

In our work group, we operate flexibly, consultatively, and independently. We have close collaboration among ourselves but also with others in central student health. As a psychologist, you will be part of the management group for central student health, where we continuously work to develop initiatives that meet the needs in our schools.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. We want you to become a natural part of our team and place great importance on personal suitability. To thrive with us, you need to be curious about other professional roles and have the ability to build relationships. You have an interest in developing the school as a whole. We have high demands for both collaboration skills and the ability to work independently. To integrate the psychological perspective into the organization, you need to have good communication skills in both spoken and written forms. We prefer candidates with experience working with children and youth. The work takes place in schools throughout the municipality, which requires a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Initially, we are looking for a licensed psychologist, but there is an opportunity to convert the position into a PTP position. In such cases, a supervisor will be available, and we have good opportunities for observation in surrounding institutions.
