Service Technician at Bake My Day

Location: Arlandastad 
Working hours: Daytime (07:00–16:00), on-call 6 days/week

About Bake My Day

Bake My Day is a modern and expanding food producer with industrial manufacturing of bread and pastries. The factory in Arlandastad is newly built (10,000 sqm), equipped with modern machines and certified according to BRC. The production includes seven lines with a capacity of up to 23,000 baguettes per hour. Customers include ICA, COOP, Willys, Hemköp, restaurants, and schools. The corporate culture is characterized by respect, collaboration, and a lack of pretentiousness.

About the role

As a service technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment such as motors, belts, electric motors, pneumatic systems, compressors, and packaging equipment.

The role involves both operational and coordinating work - you will plan, prioritize, and ensure that production runs smoothly without unnecessary interruptions. It is important to determine what is most critical to address first, especially during busy periods when the queue for machines is long.

• You will handle troubleshooting, repairs, and service orders through the Matilda system and collaborate closely with production managers regarding priorities, planning, and external efforts.
   
• An important part of the role is to determine when you can solve problems yourself and when external help is needed, as well as to maintain good communication with suppliers of the various machines that have their own service technicians.
   
• You will be responsible for purchasing technical products and spare parts within your area, as well as contributing to the educational training of staff during repair occasions.
   
• During production peaks, such as holidays, you will plan extra maintenance and preventive measures. The work will be done together with a consultant (about 30% on-site) and eventually another technician.

Requirements

• Technical background from an industrial environment, preferably bakery/brewery/food industry
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
• Ability to prioritize and structure work under high pressure
  
  Desirable:
• Experience from e.g., Fazer, Pripps, Carlsberg, Spendrups, or similar
• Knowledge of lean, safety, and quality work
• Experience in purchasing spare parts and technical products
• Experience in collaborating with external suppliers and service partners
