About the job
As a press secretary in the customer and communications department, you will work with press and media issues for the Swedish Tax Agency and, during certain periods, also for the Election Authority. The job involves providing service to journalists via phone and email, offering advice and support on media issues to spokespersons, writing communication materials, news articles, and press releases. The work includes evening and weekend on-call duties as well as crisis preparedness.
You will also monitor social media and assist our customer service in responding to complex inquiries via social media. You will be part of the Swedish Tax Agency's social media on-call team.
Approximately 200 employees work in the Customer and Communications Department at the Swedish Tax Agency across several locations in the country. We have overall responsibility for the agency's external and internal communication, and we place great emphasis on working integratively to maintain the entire communication process. We always strive to meet the current and future needs of our target groups in the best possible way.
You will belong to the message coordination section within the customer relations and communication unit. You will be based in Sundbyberg with the other seven press secretaries in the press service. You will participate in working groups with employees from other sections of the department and in various communication projects within the department and other departments.
About you

In this job, you should:

- have an excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- have a well-developed ability to identify communication needs
- enjoy working in a team, be able to collaborate in an unpretentious manner with your colleagues, and step in where needed
You should also have:
- a university degree in information/communication, journalism, or another post-secondary education that can be assessed as equivalent
- at least two years of documented and relevant experience working as a journalist and/or in similar roles
- experience working with social media.
It is desirable that you have experience working with crisis communication.
Good to know
The position is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period. Expected to start in March 2026.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
