Operations Controller at Solna City

About Us
The Property Department is responsible for supervision, maintenance, and development of the city's own property portfolio as well as certain rented premises used in the city's operations. The property portfolio consists of approximately 225 properties primarily used for preschools, schools, cultural and sports facilities, and care services.
Our goal is to provide functional, accessible, and efficient premises with a good indoor environment. The department consists of two units. This position belongs to the unit for operations and management, which currently includes roles such as property manager, technical specialists, operations controller, operations engineer, and property engineer. We also have a project unit that works with larger investments and renovations.

What Does the Job Entail?
As an Operations Controller, you will be involved in monitoring the operational contract for the city's buildings to ensure that the properties maintain the right technical standard over time. You will work closely with the department's contract manager and contribute to quality assurance of operations and maintenance, monitoring the supplier's work, and documentation related to renovation, new construction, and expansion projects.
Your tasks will also include:
- Physical inspections of buildings and technical installations.
- Assisting in the development and monitoring of maintenance plans.
- Administration in property systems and other digital support systems.
- Support during handover from project to operations.
- Participation in inspections and operational handovers related to projects.
- Monitoring energy usage and sustainability data.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for someone who has:
- Technical post-secondary education, preferably a university degree as an operations engineer, property engineer, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of property technical systems.
- Good knowledge of industry regulations AFF and external property management.
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Knowledge in electricity, fire protection, and energy monitoring.
- Experience with budget work and knowledge of publicly funded operations.
- Driver's license B.
To succeed in this role, you need to be structured, quality-conscious, and solution-focused. You thrive with freedom under responsibility and taking your own initiatives. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with both internal functions and external actors, as well as understanding the importance of supporting the city's operations. You have a technical interest and good administrative skills.
