Property Manager at the Service Administration
There is a lot of change and development work ongoing within the service administration in several areas.
In the role of property manager, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for the property management of the municipality's properties and operational premises.
We are now looking for someone with extensive experience in property management who wants to contribute to our development journey towards future needs.
About the role and your tasks
- The property manager has overall responsibility for the properties and works closely with other property roles within the administration.
- There is a strong focus on customer relations, and the property manager is the primary contact person for property matters concerning the municipality's operations and tenants.
- Tasks and responsibilities include finance, budgeting, regulatory requirements, safety regulations, maintenance planning, operational adaptations, projects, emergency preparedness, and development of properties within their area.
We are looking for you
We are looking for someone who has:
- A relevant university or college degree, such as property management, surveying, or equivalent education that the employer deems relevant.
- Good knowledge of property management and several years of experience in local management and working with property-related issues.
- Experience in financial work within property management, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in relationship-building work with significant customer contact.
- Knowledge and experience in procurement according to LOU (the Public Procurement Act) and rental law.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety regulations for properties.
- Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- A valid driver's license (B).
If you have completed any leadership training, such as UGL, it is an advantage. Likewise, if you have experience working with maintenance plans, change management, environmental and sustainability work, energy efficiency, digitalization efforts, emergency preparedness for properties, and experience in public sector work. Knowledge of and experience with any of our operational systems, such as Pythagorates or Raindance, is also advantageous.
As a person, you are goal- and results-oriented and have an easy time building relationships. You possess analytical skills that help you see the big picture and navigate in complex environments. With a genuine interest, you also contribute to guiding and supporting colleagues. You work in a structured manner with a focus on improvements. You build good relationships and are confident in your personal and professional role.

About the workplace
The Local Management Unit is one of four units within the Property Management Department. The unit consists of, in addition to the unit manager, ten property managers and two technical managers. We are a great team with broad expertise who value collaboration and learning from each other. The unit works intensively on development work to meet future needs.

The Service Administration meets the needs of Lund Municipality's other administrations and municipal companies for service. We have about 600 employees. Together, we work to build and manage the municipality's buildings, premises, and housing, ensuring that they are whole, clean, and functioning as they should. We prepare meals for the municipality's children, youth, and elderly, take care of green areas around the municipality's buildings, and manage the municipality's vehicles and transport.
