Do you want to take a key role in the daily operations of the kitchen and help create world-class culinary experiences?
Now you have the chance to become our Sous Chef who wants to lead, develop, and ensure the quality of the kitchen operations through present and clear operational leadership. As a Sous Chef, you are a central part of the kitchen management and work closely with the Head Chef. You are responsible for translating decisions, goals, and guidelines into a functioning everyday life in the kitchen and ensuring that routines, menus, and working methods are followed in daily operations. The role is operational and involves leading through presence, structure, and clear communication while being a role model in both craftsmanship and leadership.
Your Responsibilities
In the role of Sous Chef, you are the operational leader in the kitchen responsible for planning, prioritizing, and distributing work in the kitchen and dishwashing area. You ensure that daily operations run smoothly and that quality, pace, and work environment are maintained at a high level throughout the day. You follow up on performance, quality, and behaviors in operations through dialogue, feedback, and presence.
You actively work to translate menus, production plans, and working methods into effective daily delivery and ensure that food service meets the vision of a world-class overall experience. The role includes ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP, and self-control, as well as working systematically with order, safety, and work environment in the kitchen and dishwashing area.
You coach, develop, and motivate employees through daily feedback and structured follow-ups, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and performance-oriented work environment. The role also involves collaboration on staffing, scheduling, recruitment, and training, as well as participation in menu planning, ordering, inventory, and follow-up of key figures such as kitchen percentage and guest index. If necessary, you also support other areas within Food & Beverage.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is a confident, present, and responsible leader who thrives in an operational role close to the business. You have a structured working method, are clear in your communication, and easily create engagement and accountability within the team. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and have a strong guest focus with an eye for detail and quality.
You have vocational training in restaurant and food service or equivalent experience, as well as several years of experience working in a professional kitchen. You have documented experience in operational leadership with personnel responsibility and good knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and self-control. Basic economic understanding and digital skills related to operations and administration are advantageous.
About the Position
The position is a permanent employment at 100%. Salary according to the collective agreement between Visita and Unionen. A probationary period applies. The last application date is 2026-01-31.
