Job Description
We are now looking for a Project Engineering Manager!
As a Project Engineering Manager, you will support the PrEM system in managing comprehensive technical activities for complex projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, integration of subsystems, and successful system acceptance by the customer. Act as a key contributor to technical strategy, coordination, and delivery. Lead the work on reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), monitoring technical work against forecasts and budgets.
This is a six-month contract position that may be extended.
Responsibilities
Performance monitoring and reporting
Take overall responsibility for developing, tracking, and reporting the project’s KPIs related to the technical scope.
Monitor hours spent compared to forecasts and budgets, analyze deviations, and propose corrective actions.
Prepare regular status reports
Assist with requirements management
Assist in managing the technical contractual scope and customer interface.
Assist in identifying technical risks and propose actions to mitigate those risks.
Support the management of the technical scope
Contribute to defining and implementing the technical strategy and system management plan (SyEMP).
Support activities related to system architecture, design, internal/external interfaces, and V&V.
Configuration and change management
Assist in maintaining the system configuration register (As designed, As delivered, As installed, As built).
Participate in activities within the Change Control Board (CCB).
Team coordination
Support the PrEM system in coordinating engineering teams and managing interfaces.
Monitor task progress and ensure processes are followed.
Customer documentation and approval
Assist in preparing technical documentation for industrialization, sourcing, installation, and commissioning.
Support activities leading to preliminary and final approvals.
Qualifications
Skills and competencies in:
Planning and organization (ability to define objectives, plan, and manage resources)
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills (teamwork, leadership, flexibility, and adaptability)
Ability to prioritize tasks
Analytical and critical thinking including risk analysis and risk management
Problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or natural sciences
Master’s degree in natural sciences
Business degree and/or Project Management
Mandatory:
Engineering background with experience in system design and integration.
Knowledge of the project lifecycle from design to commissioning.
Experience in design and integration of signaling systems
Experience in KPI reporting and cost control.
Experience in cost and schedule control within engineering
