Do you want to grow and work with innovations in the energy of the future? Then you should apply for the position of Facility Engineer in the Biogas Section at Uppsala Vatten & Avfall AB.

About the Position

The Biogas Section is responsible for the treatment of organic waste for biogas production, as well as gas distribution and operation of four gas stations and one hydrogen station. You will join an engaged and skilled team of 12 employees and a section manager. The work is broad and takes place in close collaboration with process and operations engineers.

As a Facility Engineer, you will coordinate issues in the Biogas Section related to:

facility management
maintenance systems
inspections
safety
work environment

Other tasks that may be included in the role:

Coordinate suppliers and contractors in connection with projects and maintenance work
Ensure that facility documentation is correct, current, and systematically updated in accordance with applicable standards and requirements
Lead fire protection and gas safety work
Support the facility manager to ensure compliance with routines in relevant areas such as explosion protection documents and classification plans for flammable goods
Ensure that the facility meets requirements and has the necessary permits
Prepare materials for budgeting and investments
Conduct procurements
Participate in standby service

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in electrical, construction, mechanical, energy, or other equivalent background.
Work experience from industry
Work experience from maintenance work
Driver's license B

Meritorious

Experience in process industry
Experience in reading drawings and CAD
Experience with maintenance systems
Knowledge of project management
Certification as a boiler operator

Other Information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure as we supply drinking water to Sweden's fourth largest city. For this position, a security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment. You should also be prepared to be assigned to a war placement within the framework of Uppsala Vatten and Avfall's role in total defense. Uppsala Vatten applies a 6-month probationary period.
