As a bid engineer, you will be a key person for the department when it comes to creating new business and construction projects. In the bidding process and in awarded projects, you will, together with colleagues in business, purchasing, production, and installation, be responsible for providing our projects with the right conditions to deliver high quality and profitability during production.
We often work in early collaboration with our clients and design projects based on shared objectives. Therefore, calculations and price assessments are made at different stages and with different conditions, and you will be involved in the development of calculations in both the bidding, design, and production phases. This means that in this role with us, you have the opportunity to follow the projects over time and through different phases.
In the calculation work, you will be responsible for calculating and compiling costs based on the request for proposal as well as identifying and pricing risks and opportunities based on the project's conditions. Digital working methods permeate the role, and the use of models for quantity takeoff, planning, and visualization will be part of your daily routine.
As a bid engineer with us, you will have many points of contact within the department in your daily work, which requires good communication skills. Collaborating with other employees in the projects is a key issue in our operations, and it is of utmost importance that you are passionate about creating close cooperation with the department's business, specialist, and production organization.
- Academic or post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a bid engineer or cost specialist, preferably with a background from production-related roles in the construction industry.
- Good understanding of cost levels and production methods.
- Analytical ability, accuracy, and solution focus.
- Interest in digital working methods and a desire to develop and improve processes.
- Experience in calculation in MAP and/or purchasing is an advantage.
- Good communication skills
You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and feel comfortable using English in your work.
We believe, just like you, that success is created through collaboration and that together we find solutions that everyone can stand behind. By working this way, we take advantage of the common competence – both within the team and in the entire organization.
As a bid engineer, you are part of our specialist organization and report to the group manager for purchasing and calculation. The role is a permanent position based at our department office in Uppsala. The area of work will primarily be Uppsala and surrounding areas, but projects within the entire geography of the department may occur.
In accordance with NCC's safety culture, we conduct background checks on final candidates.
