For this position, we are looking for someone with a medical background in their academic education. We envision an occupational therapist or physiotherapist with proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as a B driver's license. It is an advantage if you have training in special education, MI training, and experience in the disability field, preferably within NEP diagnostic groups. Personal qualities are highly valued. You are self-driven, structured, creative, and appreciate the benefits of collaboration with others. You have a holistic view and pedagogical insight.

“Counseling and other personal support” is an intervention according to the “Act on Special Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons,” LSS. The target group is adults with significant and permanent disabilities. We work in a cross-professional team that includes occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, social workers, and administrators. Together, we work to understand disabilities and the consequences that may arise in everyday life. The operation has a regional mission, with employees in Kiruna, Gällivare, Luleå, and Piteå. To meet the varying needs of users and to operate throughout the region, we offer both physical reception visits and digital contact options. We are a workplace where new ideas are encouraged and continuously work on improvement efforts to provide our users in the region with good and equitable services.

Much of our internal work is done digitally, but we also believe it is important to meet physically. We also have regular meetings with others from nearby operations for collegial support and exchange. You book your own visits and manage your own calendar. There is some opportunity for remote work.

With us, you will have varied tasks that involve sorting and prioritizing needs/goals together with the user, which are laid out in an implementation plan. For example, we can provide supportive conversations based on the current issues in everyday life, assist as needed, and collaborate with other community actors. This may involve providing increased knowledge about the current diagnosis, individually or in groups, for enhanced self-understanding and self-acceptance. An important part is also to contribute with your professional expertise within the team, where your medical competence may be needed in conjunction with individual assessments.

Information about the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position, daytime Monday - Friday. Start date by agreement. Travel is included in the position. The place of employment is Luleå or Piteå. Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
