Position as Occupational Therapist within the Health and Care Administration

The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in the municipality of Linköping. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, authority exercise, ordering of services, and provides care and support in its own right. Your Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you work with the patient's needs at the center, aiming to enable as independent a life as possible for the individual. You are responsible for assessments, personal assistive device prescriptions, housing adaptations, and rehabilitation of patients in regular housing. We offer you an active workday with many personal meetings.

You work both independently and in close collaboration with physiotherapists and other professionals, such as nurses and care staff. The work consists of varied tasks and patient groups, providing opportunities for variety and challenges in the job. The work also includes documentation and administration.

Working hours are scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

Your Workplace

In May 2026, the municipality of Linköping will take over responsibility for home care, home health care, home rehabilitation, and assessed assistance housing in the southwest area, which includes Lambohov, Skäggetorp, Vikingstad, and Ulrika/Nykil. Here you can read more about Linköping's area model for home care and support. Considering that the assignment is expanding, recruitment for an additional manager for home rehabilitation is ongoing.

The workgroup currently consists of about 35 colleagues working in three geographical areas, which will expand to four. You, together with a physiotherapist, are responsible for a home health care area where you are also part of the multiprofessional team along with the home care manager and staff. Your workplace will be located at Ålerydsvägen 7. We are also taking over premises in Mjärdevi, depending on your geographical affiliation, you may be placed there. We are reviewing the premises issue to enable co-location in the future.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or is expected to graduate in January 2026. It is advantageous if you have previous experience working as an occupational therapist, rehabilitation of the elderly target group, and experience in assistive device prescriptions. We also consider it advantageous if you have previous experience in home rehabilitation.

The work involves a lot of patient contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate well verbally and in writing in the Swedish language. You have computer skills and experience documenting in journal systems. For the position, you need to be able to cycle and have a B driver's license for manual transmission as we both cycle and drive in the job.

We are looking for someone who is proactive in their work and can plan and prioritize their tasks independently. You have a flexible working style and can adapt based on the needs and changes of the organization. You find it easy to collaborate with others and respond to others in a considerate manner. In your work, you can communicate clearly and ensure that messages are conveyed. You are confident and have self-awareness with the ability to act professionally.
