Job Description

As a nurse on ward 20, you are the team leader for the team working around the patient. The team, in addition to the nurse, consists of other professions such as; nursing assistants, doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Other support functions available are care coordinators and coordinators. On weekdays, our most experienced nurses are also available in a supportive role to assist the care teams with complicated questions and advanced patient cases.

As a nurse, you are responsible for advanced nursing, medication, medical technical procedures, and creating structure for daily planning including rounds. The everyday life on ward 20 is very varied with a wide range of both diagnoses and patient clientele. The pace of work is also varied. These variations in work mean that as a nurse, you must be flexible and able to adapt to the situations you face. This allows you to gain experience and breadth early on. You also need to stay updated on the latest research and treatments in infection care, which means that you as a person are curious and always have a desire to learn and develop. The unique competence of the Infection Clinic also includes caring for diseases that require isolation and the application of special hygiene routines to prevent infection to/from patients and healthcare personnel.

Work Group

The Infection Clinic is a regional clinic with about 160 employees. On ward 20, we have a workgroup with both experienced and relatively new employees. Here it is important that we take responsibility for the work together and that we are each other's work environment. As an employee at the Infection Clinic, you are included in the community and become an obvious part of the team. We believe that we have an environment where everyone is constantly learning new things and that it is very important to have a learning and open climate where you always dare to ask questions. We have a clear structure for continuous development and information dissemination in the form of internal and external lectures, weekly ward meetings, weekly newsletters, and through collaboration with the infection department at the university hospital.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. No requirement for previous experience exists. However, it is an advantage to have experience in hospital care.

As you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. To thrive and fit in with us, your personal qualities are important. Therefore, we want to emphasize these qualities again:
