Care Assistants Wanted for Holmsund Care and Nursing Home

The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Holmsund Care and Nursing Home is centrally located in Holmsund, close to a health center, pharmacy, and grocery store. We offer good opportunities for outdoor activities thanks to balconies, patios, and a shared courtyard. The building has three floors and houses 59 apartments. Holmsund Care and Nursing Home consists of six units; three group homes, a short-term unit, a service housing department, and a group home located in Obbola.

We are now looking for two care assistants to join our team at Älvkungen in Obbola and Atlas in Holmsund!

Your Responsibilities

As a care assistant with us, you will assist the residents with personal care and perform medical tasks delegated by the responsible nurse.

Your duties also include documenting actions and health status.

We are looking for someone who, through a good approach and a professional work style, supports our residents in their daily lives. You will work as a contact person, where the resident's right to participate is the focus. This ensures that services are performed with good quality according to assistance decisions and implementation plans.

The working hours are scheduled for days/evenings and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant or equivalent and has extensive experience in healthcare. Your interaction with the residents requires good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You show great commitment to both users and the organization in all relationships and actions.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You enjoy working independently and are patient and proactive. You have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.
