Job Responsibilities

Dunfin is a care and nursing home where we have invested in the latest technology and finding smooth digital solutions.

This contributes to our patients gaining greater independence while you as an employee enjoy a smooth workday. There are a total of 56 apartments in the residence, which has been furnished in close collaboration with an interior designer. The residence is located in the newly built quarters with restaurants and shops next to Selma Lagerlöf Square.

We now need you as a licensed nurse who wants to help create meaningful everyday lives for our patients in an operation with high quality of care and patient safety. We offer you a varied job with great opportunities to plan and structure your workday. Your main responsibilities include being responsible for our patients' health and medical care needs. In this role, you will perform assessments based on current health conditions and follow up on medical treatment and nursing interventions. Our patients' health care needs vary from preventive care to the need for advanced medical care. Your work also includes supervising nursing staff and delegation work. Together, we create good and equitable person-centered care for our patients and ensure they have an optimal living situation.

Currently, you will work on a schedule with the majority of shifts during the day and working every fourth weekend. We hope you want to continue learning and developing your skills. To gain the necessary competence to work in municipal health and medical care, the City of Gothenburg offers an introductory program for newly hired employees. The introductory program is individualized and lasts for about a year. The program is designed individually in dialogue between you as a new employee, your unit manager, and your supervisor.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. It is a merit if you have specialized training in elderly care or psychiatry. We would also like you to have experience in nursing and within municipal health and medical care. Furthermore, a B driver's license is a requirement.

You have a good attitude and a genuine interest in people. The position involves both independent work and teamwork. Therefore, it is required that you understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole, while also being able to act and make decisions independently based on what the situation requires. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be development-oriented and proactive. You drive processes forward and make things happen. You use time effectively and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure that work is completed and follow up on the results, together with the patient and relatives.
