The emergency department in Skövde has undergone a significant transformation and now operates in state-of-the-art, bright, and well-adapted facilities.

With a capacity for approximately 70,000 patients per year, a new pediatric emergency unit with its own child pathway, and radiology directly connected, we are one of Sweden's largest and most modern emergency departments.

We are one of the region's five trauma hospitals and receive patients in medicine, surgery, orthopedics, infection, pediatrics, gynecology, as well as ENT and ophthalmology.

We are now looking for a registered nurse who wants to be part of our ongoing development journey – in a combined role as a clinical nurse and competence support.

About the role

As a nurse with us, you will work with acute care and specialized healthcare in a team together with nursing assistants and doctors. The work is varied, developing, and places high demands on collaboration, flexibility, and patient safety.

In the role of competence support, you will also have the opportunity to:

• Introduce and support new employees
• Be a knowledge bearer and contribute to workplace learning
• Strengthen teamwork, person-centered care, and safety in daily work
• Participate in improvement work related to care and patient safety
• Collaborate closely with the unit manager and MT/IT responsible

The assignment is shaped together with the organization and combined with clinical work to maintain your clinical competence in emergency care.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered nurse with at least one year of professional experience
• Has experience or interest in emergency care (meritorious)
• Is confident in your profession
• Has pedagogical skills and a great interest in teaching
• Finds it easy to build relationships and instill confidence in brief patient encounters
• Enjoys pace changes, teamwork, and improvement work
• Contributes with a positive attitude and respect for differences

• The competence support assignment is only during daytime. Clinical work as a nurse is included in the position according to schedule and includes every fourth weekend as well as work during major holidays and summer.
