Lindåsskolan is an F-9 school with over 700 students and three classes in each grade.

The school is beautifully located near both forest and sea. Our teams are characterized by great commitment, high competence, and joy at work. We work collegially to give our students the best conditions. We have a well-functioning student health work where you will be one of two school nurses. The school nurses work in grades F-5 and 6-9, and we are now looking for a school nurse for grades 6-9.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a school nurse for Lindåsskolan F-9. The position is permanent with part-time work (60%).

As a school nurse within the primary school administration, you are part of the Medical Intervention of Student Health, EMI. The City of Gothenburg has a set basic program for EMI that includes health visits, health conversations, and vaccinations. The school nurse is responsible for organizing and planning their own and the school doctor's reception work during the school year. The work also includes issues related to students' working environment, the school's values, and lifestyle-related health issues, and you will be a link in the school's student health team. You primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner and contribute with your nursing competence to create the best possible conditions for the student's health, development, and learning.

In your role as a school nurse, you have the opportunity to make a difference and work closely with the other staff in the student health team, the school's management, and of course all educational staff at the school. You also collaborate with guardians and authorities outside the school.

The principal is your immediate supervisor. As a school nurse, you are part of a professional network for the other school nurses in the educational area led by the medically responsible manager, MLA. You are offered introductory training and access to a mentor during the introduction period. School nurses receive profession-specific competence development and have the opportunity for regular supervision outside the school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with specialist training in health and medical care for children and adolescents, district nurse training, or further education focused on school nursing. All documentation for school nurses and school doctors, as well as student health, is done in our digital journal system, PMO. Experience working as a school nurse and with children and adolescents is an advantage.

To succeed in your role, it is important that you are flexible, communicative, and able to create good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and teachers. You are confident in your professional role, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating. As a school nurse with us, you have an independent role and need to have a good ability to plan and organize your work well. Since you will be active in health-promoting work, you are good at communicating, motivating, and inspiring.
