We are now looking for a municipal director who is determined to continue the development towards Nässjö municipality's strategic goals. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As the municipal director, you are the highest civil servant of the municipality with the task of developing and leading the municipality towards vision 2030 (https://nassjo.se/kommun-och-politik/kommun/vision-2030.html) according to the politically established direction. You will succeed by considering both parts and the whole based on the budget and governing documents.

You are the link between elected representatives and civil servants and have the overall responsibility for implementing the municipal council's decisions, goals, and strategic work. Through your way of communicating changes and operational decisions, you create acceptance among the public, business community, and employees.

You lead and are part of the municipality's management team consisting of department heads, group CEOs, and division heads within the municipal executive office. As the municipal director, you are the head of the municipal executive office with direct personnel responsibility for the six division heads of the municipal executive office and for five department heads. The role also includes being the CEO of the group company Örnen, where you are an important link between the municipality and its various limited companies. Collaboration and cooperation with a good overall perspective within the entire municipal group is crucial for our success.

As a representative of Nässjö municipality, you participate in various contexts, such as networks and working groups together with other regional municipalities, businesses, and authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education, good knowledge of financial management and municipal and/or public law, as well as a clear leadership character. You also have experience from qualified managerial positions at a strategic level in a politically governed organization.

With your genuine interest in society, you value democracy and community building and have a good understanding of the complexities in a politically governed organization. You have clear visions for the future that you can successfully implement through your communicative leadership. We believe that your unpretentious nature makes it easy for you to collaborate and that this makes you skilled at creating and developing relationships.

In this role, you will occasionally meet the media, and you are therefore expected to have some media experience. The position is security classified, and the holder will be security checked.
