The Role of Midwife

As a midwife at the Women's Clinic, you will work in a team and meet women at all stages of life. You will maintain good relationships with patients and their relatives, as well as collaborate with other healthcare providers and social authorities. Daily tasks include managing both planned and emergency care.

The Women's Clinic at Värnamo Hospital operates gynecological and obstetric services around the clock. Every year, we welcome around 1,000 babies into the world. We provide good, safe, and accessible care with high medical competence, both in preventive women's health care and during pregnancy, childbirth, gynecological diseases, and adolescent reproductive health. We strive to do our best for those we serve! Here, we have the advantages of a smaller hospital with a wide range of services and opportunities for development! The smaller hospital also allows for close collaboration and a good working atmosphere between us and our partners.

Your Profile

We are looking for a licensed midwife with a genuine interest in working within the broad competence area of midwifery. You are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. You work well with others and can see the big picture and understand your role in the larger perspective. You are a structured person who plans your work effectively. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We offer you a developing and stimulating position where you can grow in your midwifery profession. The position includes the possibility of rotation between delivery and maternity (possibly also gynecology department) and also between day and night shifts, which provides variation in your work.
