We are a cheerful team consisting of about 20 nurses with different specialties and experiences, creating a unique breadth in the workplace. The office in Kristianstad, where you will be placed, is located in the Björkhemsområdet. Here, there is a calm and pleasant environment with the opportunity to work in groups or in single rooms. In Malmö, there are two units, and we have a total of 90 nurses, one doctor, and two administrators.

1177 on the phone is a national service that operates around the clock in all regions of Sweden. We primarily serve the citizens of Skåne but also answer calls from other regions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, you will work in a supportive and helpful team, where everyone has different backgrounds and competencies. As a nurse, you will primarily work with telephone counseling, make qualified medical assessments, provide self-care advice, and refer callers to the appropriate level of care. You will have a symptom-based decision support tool to assist you in following a well-structured conversation process. In the conversations, you can also connect via video or receive images sent to you, which facilitates assessment.

The position involves working days, evenings, and weekends, and we work two weekends out of five. We use a wish schedule that runs over 15 weeks, allowing you to influence your schedule. There is the possibility to work remotely some days a week from a home office. We care about ensuring you have a good work environment. There is no stress of not being able to keep up, not being enough, or not getting home when your shift ends. Here, you can feel secure in completing your tasks and performing adequately while finishing your shift on time.

It is important for us to create the best possible conditions for our nurses to feel secure in their roles, which is why you will be offered continuous training with doctor lectures every other week. As a new employee with us, you will receive a comprehensive introduction program with both theoretical and practical training over four weeks. You will also have a personal mentor to support you and act as a sounding board in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with permission to practice in Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale. Additionally, it is a requirement for the position that you have previous experience working as a nurse, where we prefer that you have experience in making assessments. Since large parts of the work are performed digitally, good computer skills are also a prerequisite for the position. It is an advantage if you feel comfortable conducting conversations in English.

You have a commitment and the ability to motivate and inspire your colleagues, as well as to get everyone to work towards the common goals of the organization. Furthermore, you are driven by goal- and result-oriented thinking in your priorities and actions, and you find it easy to structure your work.
