Area and Operations

Regional Laboratory Medicine is organized under area 4 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and is located at the following hospitals and locations:

• Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Borås
• Södra Älvsborg Hospital in Skene
• Norra Älvsborg County Hospital in Trollhättan
• Uddevalla Hospital
• Kungälv Hospital
• Alingsås Hospital
• Mölndal Hospital
• Östra Hospital
• Sahlgrenska Hospital

Laboratory Medicine consists of the operations Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine, and Clinical Genetics and Genomics.

About the Position

As a biomedical analyst, you play an important role in the hospitals' laboratories and clinics where you work to provide the basis for diagnosis and treatment. You work with analyses and examinations of blood, body fluids, and tissues.

The hospital laboratories offer creative environments where research and development are an important part of the operations.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained biomedical analyst, graduating no later than June 2026, or someone who is currently studying to become a biomedical analyst.

The work requires you to be meticulous and able to handle multiple analytical methods and instruments. To provide our patients with good and safe care, it is important that our employees have good language skills and the ability to communicate effectively in Swedish. We place particular emphasis on your social competence, ability to collaborate, and determination. You contribute to an efficient operation and a positive work environment within the laboratory. For those studying to become a biomedical analyst, there is also an opportunity to work as a substitute during the summer.
