About the position

Endocrine tumors and Sarcoma are a patient flow within the Cancer theme. We investigate, operate, and treat benign tumors and cancer in the thyroid, neuroendocrine tumors in the abdomen (NET), and Sarcoma in the abdomen. We are the sole practitioners in the Stockholm region for our diagnoses. For surgery for Sarcoma in the abdomen, we are one of three national centers, and for Neuroendocrine abdominal tumors, we have a nationally specialized care assignment.

In the teams, nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors from various specialties work together. In the teams, we gladly share our knowledge and care for both patients and each other.

As a contact nurse at the clinic, you have a central role; your everyday work is varied and diverse. Your tasks include establishing My Care Plan, standardized care processes, support, and advice for patients and relatives. The work involves contact and collaboration with other healthcare providers both within and outside Karolinska, as a large part of our patients come from other parts of the country.

We are now looking for a new colleague for a temporary position, primarily working in the surgical flow.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with Swedish license.
• At least 4 years of experience as a nurse

Meritorious:

• Previously worked with cancer care
• Trained contact nurse or specialist training in surgery or oncology
• Experience from outpatient work
• Good knowledge of Take Care.
