The unit is an outpatient clinic responsible for assessing and treating patients with affective disorders, focusing on patients with bipolar disorder, type 1.

We have approximately 25 employees divided into two teams based on the professional categories of specialist doctors, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers. It is a well-functioning and stable clinic. In the same building in the Atlas area, there are also other highly specialized outpatient clinics belonging to Northern Stockholm Psychiatry, and the proximity to these allows for good collaboration between the clinics when needed.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities consist of taking overall responsibility for coordinating efforts for the patients you are the contact person for. Close collaboration with the responsible physician and with other colleagues in the unit, relatives/significant others, other authorities, and healthcare providers is also an important part of the job.

You will administer some medications, plan for testing, follow-up on treatment, support contacts, care planning, and you will share the task of sitting in the advisory phone and distributing cases in 1177/Always Open.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in psychiatry or experience in specialized psychiatric care in outpatient settings. It is an advantage if you have experience working with patients with bipolar disorder.

Good computer skills are a requirement. Documentation is done in the Take Care journal system.

You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both in teams and independently, taking personal responsibility for your work. The patient group is of interest to you, you are flexible and can adapt your work to varying needs. In the workday, it is important that we collegially share the nurses' tasks. • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before hiring.
• in addition to Swedish professional licensing, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
