Who are we?

The Oncology Clinic at Södersjukhuset consists of a radiation therapy unit, a care ward, outpatient clinics, a treatment department, and a clinical research unit. We treat patients with breast, abdominal, or urological tumors.

Our radiation therapy unit has four treatment rooms for linear accelerators and one for radiotherapy, as well as a CT scanner. In 2026, an MR will be launched in close collaboration with the radiology clinic. The unit employs specialist nurses, nursing assistants, physicists, doctors, and engineers, and has a total of 55 employees.

We offer teamwork in a highly specialized technical and care environment where development work and patient-centered research are conducted.

Radiation therapy is facing exciting changes with equipment upgrades that enable new modern working methods.

About the position

At our radiation therapy unit, highly specialized cancer care is provided. As a nurse in radiation therapy, you combine nursing with high-tech knowledge. You work in interdisciplinary teams and follow the patient through the radiation treatment flow – the care form is characterized by short, high-quality meetings with responsibility for the entirety of the treatment chain.

In our organization at Södersjukhuset, you as a nurse will belong to the Oncology Clinic and report to the unit manager for radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Nurse or radiology nurse with further education in radiation therapy.
• Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1.

We are looking for someone who has worked or is currently working with radiation therapy for a few years and thrives in an environment where technological development is rapid. You enjoy working in a team, communicate clearly, and actively contribute to a good collaborative climate.

Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time, 40 hours/week - Monday to Friday.
