Material Accountant at FMLOG JSS

About the Unit

FMLOG JSS (Joint Service Support) is part of the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics organization and is responsible for supporting the Armed Forces' operations with effective logistics services. We operate both nationally and internationally to ensure that our units receive the support they need.

The Material Accounting Department at JSS primarily works with supply accounting for units internationally. With us, you will have the opportunity to work in a workplace where tasks vary from day to day and sometimes from location to location. Main Responsibilities:

In your role as a Material Accountant, you will among other things:

  • Support international operations through meticulous material accounting of the Armed Forces' supplies.
  • Perform varied tasks, from overarching planning to practical implementation, involving both independent and group work.
  • Manage material accounting, monitoring, training, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and record maintenance in the Armed Forces' accounting systems with precision and accuracy.
  • Plan and conduct training for logistics personnel, not only from our regular workplace in Uppsala but also on-site in operational areas around the world.
  • Travel both internationally and nationally.
  • Contribute to strong teamwork and a good working environment.

Qualifications

  • Very good computer skills, primarily in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English.
  • Driver's license class B (manual).

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' logistics system LIFT.
  • Experience working in SAP / PRIO.
  • Experience working with logistics in the Armed Forces.
  • Logistics education.
  • Experience from international missions in logistics positions, or system support during international missions.
  • Experience working at another government authority.
  • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' material and logistics regulations.
  • Completed military basic training, basic soldier training (GSU), or equivalent.
