Job Description

As a Process Engineer, you will have overall technical responsibility for our manufacturing processes, with a particular focus on aseptic operations and production technical improvements. You will be a central resource in engineering, troubleshooting, process development, and compliance, working daily with other engineers, operators, and quality experts.

You will drive change, lead investigations, and ensure that our processes meet the highest standards regarding quality, safety, and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and improve processes within aseptic manufacturing and filling
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analyses, and technical investigations at the process and equipment level
  • Ensure that processes and documentation meet GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and technical changes
  • Work cross-functionally with QA, RA, Production, R&D, and project organization
  • Contribute to compliance work, preparations for audits, and documentation reviews
  • Support production by increasing technical understanding and driving long-term improvements

Requirements and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, natural sciences, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as a process engineer or similar technical role within Life Science
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and drive technical improvements
  • Fluent in Swedish and good English, both spoken and written

Preferred:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a process engineer or production engineer
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, and qualification of equipment
  • Experience with audits, compliance work, or presenting to authorities/customers
  • Experience with risk analysis methods such as FMEA/FMECA
  • Experience with aseptic processes, preferably in filling or sterile manufacturing
  • Experience with biological drugs or protein-based products
  • Familiarity with documentation (e.g., change controls, deviations, CAPA)
  • Experience training or supporting production staff
  • Practical experience from technically advanced production is an advantage
