Occupational Therapist at the Authority

At the Authority, caseworkers work within SoL, LSS, and social psychiatry, as well as planning teams tasked with planning discharges from healthcare. Also, family strategists, family consultants, social responsible coordinators, suicide prevention coordinators, housing coordinators, and project leaders for SoL belong to the Authority.

What we offer you!

The role of the occupational therapist at the Authority is relatively new, and you will therefore have great opportunities to influence the continued development of the profession in the Authority's area of operations.

Your role will primarily involve collaboration with caseworkers in SoL who handle cases for home care services and special housing.

Your role is to get involved early in new cases where you assess and create conditions for individuals to live as independently, participatively, and meaningfully as possible based on a person-centered approach focusing on the healthy aspects.

Together with your colleagues, you will plan for appropriate interventions. This may involve digital planning, personal meetings in home environments, or planning via phone. You will also serve as the link between the Authority and rehabilitation.

Who are you?

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. A B driver's license for a manual transmission car is a requirement.

It is advantageous if you have experience working as an occupational therapist within municipal operations. Experience in case management within the area of operations and working in interdisciplinary teams, with experience in the Lifecare documentation system, is also advantageous.

As a person, you are positive, engaged, and open to new challenges, and with the right attitude, you contribute to a good work climate to promote good collaboration. Although you are expected to be self-sufficient in your role, we work together when needed with a focus on the individual's best interests, which is why you have a good ability to collaborate and take shared responsibility. In your daily work, you meet care recipients, relatives, and colleagues in a respectful and professional manner. You have a good sense of service and communication skills and are attentive to the individual's needs, ensuring a qualitative and advisory meeting with our citizens. It is beneficial if you are flexible in your thinking to better handle unforeseen changes.
