We are now looking for an experienced nursing assistant for employment in one of our inpatient departments with duties also in our acute day care department GADVA.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who has worked for at least five years as a nursing assistant in a hospital and feels very secure in their professional role and enjoys working both independently and in a team. The tasks include all daily care, medical checks, catheter and stoma care, advanced wound dressings, various sample collections such as EKG, venipuncture, and more.

The Geriatric Clinic at Danderyd Hospital consists of two inpatient wards, an acute day care department, and a cognitive reception.

In our inpatient wards, patients with a high need for both care and medical interventions are treated.

GADVA is an acute day care department with eight care places that is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 20:00, where patients are received directly from the ambulance or emergency department for further investigation and planning, and then discharged to other care or home.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Nursing assistant with proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. At least five years of experience working as a nursing assistant in a hospital, for example in a care ward and/or emergency department.

You need to have a genuine interest in care as well as very good knowledge in venipuncture, catheter placement, EKG, wound care, drainage management, stoma care, and similar.

You need to be flexible, positively stress-resistant, have an easy time taking initiative, and have a very good ability to collaborate in an interprofessional team.

Other

Permanent employment. Duties during the day, evening, and weekends. Rotating schedule with varying number of weekends but a maximum of every other weekend.
