Property Manager
The position is located within the Environmental and Community Building Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. We ensure that urban planning takes into account many values: business and culture, traffic and environment. Now and in the future. Together, we develop an attractive, exciting, and sustainable city.
Do you want to enhance everyday life and improve the quality of life for the residents of Linköping? With us, you can make a significant difference and contribute to making Linköping a better place. Welcome to us!
Your Responsibilities
As a property manager, you will work with the management of the municipality's land reserve and associated buildings.
Your tasks include negotiating, drafting, and monitoring agreements regarding leases and rents. Tenants consist of private individuals, businesses, associations, and municipal companies. Furthermore, you will act as a client for smaller property contracts as well as land and property maintenance. You will contribute to a strategically important effort to ensure that the municipality's land can be developed according to plan and that the management of properties functions well in the meantime. This involves extensive collaboration with other stakeholders in the community building sector, both external and internal. It is an outward-facing role that, in addition to internal collaboration, involves significant external contact with tenants and suppliers, and you often represent the municipality as the landowner.
Your Workplace
The position of property manager is located in the Urban Environment Department, which maintains, develops, and manages attractive, functional, and accessible streets, squares, parks, and natural environments within Linköping Municipality. The department ensures the new and renovation of existing and new public spaces, traffic infrastructure, and natural areas as the municipality grows and develops. The department works on behalf of the Community Building Committee and consists of three units: urban environment development, operations and maintenance, and support. The department has approximately 60 employees.
As a property manager, you belong to the operations and maintenance unit, which consists of two groups where your position belongs to land and management. The group consists of 12 employees, 7 operations engineers, 1 city gardener, 1 cartographer, and 3 property managers.
The property management area has a broad mandate, and we manage buildings and land owned by Linköping Municipality, including properties that are strategically important for the city's future urban development. On behalf of the municipal executive board and our political committee, we aim to manage and maintain the municipality's land reserve in the best possible way.
The workplace is located in new premises in Ebbepark. We work activity-based, and there is an opportunity to work part-time remotely.
Welcome to join us in managing and developing the attractive city!
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who has experience in managing buildings and land. It is a requirement that you have experience in negotiating and drafting lease and rental agreements, as well as knowledge of the Planning and Building Act (PBL) and the Property Formation Act (FBL).
We consider it meritorious if you have a degree from a university, college, or vocational school in property management, surveying, or law, or another relevant field assessed by the employer. Additionally, it is advantageous if you have experience working with property legal issues within physical planning and property formation matters. You need to express yourself well in Swedish, both in writing and verbally, as you will handle contract writing and negotiations. A B driver's license is required as the position involves travel within the municipality.
