Care Assistant with Expertise in Psychiatry and Disabilities

Myran is a care and nursing home located in western Mariestad by Marieholm Center. The facility has four units with a total of 32 apartments and places for special housing. Myran features an inviting courtyard with good accessibility, walking paths, plantings, fruit trees, a fountain, and more.

We are now looking to recruit a care assistant with expertise in psychiatry and disabilities, preferably with experience working with elderly individuals. Are you positive, attentive, and find these areas both exciting and enjoyable? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The job responsibilities consist of personal care, delegated medical tasks, social interaction, and daily chores, with a particular focus on care recipients with psychiatric needs and disabilities. You will collaborate closely with coordinators, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to create comprehensive and individualized care.

We work with a contact person system and advocacy assignments where you as an employee have the opportunity to develop and be part of the development of the organization.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with the possibility of part-time work.

QUALIFICATIONS

For this position, we are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has experience and expertise in psychiatry and disabilities, preferably with experience working with elderly individuals.

We are looking for someone who is an attentive, positive, and confident person in their interactions with care recipients and who finds it enjoyable and stimulating to work in our focus areas. You should be flexible as the work is based on close collaboration with your colleagues, where you are expected to step in and support as needed, even in other departments.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, due to the fact that many of your tasks consist of receiving instructions and conveying information in a correct and clear manner.

A driving license (B) is an advantage.

We expect you to have a certain digital maturity in computer and mobile usage since we use these as work tools.

We work based on a fourteen-week schedule with varied working hours during days, evenings, weekends, and where you work six out of fourteen weekends. The schedule also includes resource shifts to cover for absences in other workplaces.
