The healthcare centers included in the southern primary care area are Avesta healthcare center, Hedemora healthcare center, and Långshyttan healthcare center. We are now looking for nursing assistants for summer positions at all healthcare centers!

Avesta healthcare center is centrally located at Avesta Hospital and has approximately 10,700 registered patients, Hedemora healthcare center is also centrally located in Hedemora and has approximately 9,700 registered patients. Långshyttan healthcare center is located in Långshyttan and is a smaller healthcare center with approximately 5,200 registered patients.

At the healthcare centers in the southern primary care area, all professions work together and strive to utilize each other's different skills in daily work to help patients in the best possible way. The healthcare centers in the area collaborate with each other.

At the healthcare centers, we have a doctor's office, lab with scheduled blood sampling, nursing consultations, primary care rehabilitation, counseling, BVC, and MVC.

As a nursing assistant at the healthcare center, you will assist doctors in the doctor's office, staff the lab, and schedule blood sampling times based on incoming calls in our TeleQ. There is also the possibility of nursing assistant consultations where you will change catheters, perform simple wound dressings, etc. Some administrative tasks will also occur, such as orders, scheduling, and sending invitations for basic check-ups with doctors.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education.
• has a diploma from the Health and Care College.

As a person, you are meticulous and responsible. You have good initiative and planning skills. You are flexible and enjoy collaborating with various professional categories. We place great importance on your personal suitability, where good cooperation and a good attitude towards patients and staff are included.

Information about the job title

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected job title (https://legitimation.socialstyrelsen.se/underskoterska-blir-en-skyddad-yrkestitel/). This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in health and care.

You can apply for the certificate from July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in health and care but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us in Region Dalarna after July 1, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. Those who had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected job title to use the title nursing assistant.
