The Role of the Dental Hygienist

Are you self-driven and enjoy working preventively with both children and adults? Then you might be the one we are looking for for the position of dental hygienist!

In the role of dental hygienist, you will work both promotively, preventively, and with treatment measures for both child and adult patients. You will work independently, examining, diagnosing, and taking actions to prevent and address issues such as dental caries and periodontal disease.

Since the mission of Public Dental Service is to be available for all residents of the county, you will encounter patients of all ages and backgrounds in your daily work. In other words, you will have great use of your entire professional competence.

As a dental hygienist with us within the Public Dental Service of Jönköping County, you play an important role in our public health-promoting work. You work together with other colleagues at the clinic to provide the best possible care for patients. Eksjö Public Dental Service also staffs the clinic in Mariannelund, which may involve working at that clinic for 1-2 days a week. Travel occurs during working hours and requires that you have sufficient experience in your role.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a trained dental hygienist, with an interest in both pediatric and adult dental care. We believe you are driven by making others' lives a little better and are a motivating and engaged person who considers your patients' needs. We believe that you enjoy being part of a team but are self-driven and take responsibility for your own work.

You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Since travel may occur, we prefer that you have a B driver's license. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the willingness to contribute to a good working atmosphere.
