Järfälla Adult Education and Activity Responsibility conducts municipal adult education both in authorized and self-managed forms and works with the municipality's activity responsibility, KAA. The operations are divided into Youth and Adult Guidance, focusing on the application and admission process as well as KAA, and Järfälla Learning Center.

The operations at the Learning Center consist of SFI, courses at basic and upper secondary levels in Swedish as a second language, vocational training, and special education at basic and upper secondary levels. Here, all kinds of people meet, with different backgrounds and goals for their studies. We are passionate about providing all adults with new opportunities for education and work.

At any given time, about 1,600 students study with us, both full-time and part-time. Our teaching staff consists of about 50 dedicated educators. In addition to these, the school has study administrators, special educators, and additional study and career counselors.

The school is centrally located in Jakobsberg within walking distance to both commuter trains and buses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your assignment:

This is a part-time position which involves teaching subjects from the upper secondary vocational education in Restaurant and Food when the regular teacher is absent.

The position, which is temporary, includes tasks such as planning, implementation, and follow-up of the teaching you conduct. In addition to teaching, students run a restaurant and café which you, as a vocational teacher, will help lead.

As a person, you are solution-oriented and see opportunities in changes. To succeed in the job, you should enjoy structuring, planning, and prioritizing your work effectively.

The assignment places high demands on collaboration within the work team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

• Trained chef.
• You have professional experience in restaurants and kitchens.
• You are interested in teaching within adult education.
• You have very good collaboration skills, are attentive, and contribute with your own experiences and ideas.
• You are positive and contribute to a good atmosphere in the work team.

It is meritorious if you:

• You have completed VFU or worked as a vocational teacher in Restaurant and Food.
• Have pedagogical training or are in training to become a vocational teacher.
• You are interested in the students' language development.
• Possess a high digital maturity.
