The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the preschool and primary school committees. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Utsäljeskolan is a newly built municipal school in Huddinge with both primary and adapted primary school, located in a quiet residential area on the border between Stuvsta and Segeltorp. We are currently a three-parallel F-8 school that will gradually grow to include grades F-9. We currently have nearly 700 students who thrive in our fantastic facilities.

The school has a well-functioning student health team and special educators who work closely with teachers in daily activities. Our students have access to Chromebooks used in schoolwork. We place great emphasis on having a balance between analog and digital working methods to promote students' development and creativity.

About the Job

Being a teacher and professional educator in Huddinge municipality means that you have high expectations and a belief that all students can succeed based on their circumstances. As a teacher at Utsäljeskolan, you will be part of team 8 and responsible for teaching Science and Technology in the three classes of the grade. You will have mentoring responsibility for one of the classes and, together with your colleagues in the team, be responsible for ensuring that the teaching best meets the students' needs and stimulates good social and academic development. A smaller part of your position will be in one of the school's smaller teaching groups.

About You

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach Science and Technology for grades 7-9.

For this position, you need to provide a valid extract from the criminal record before employment can begin.

As a person, you are driven, positive, responsible, and solution-focused. You actively work to find different ways to create engagement and participation among your students.

It is also important for us that you actively work to build good relationships with both students and guardians. You are a clear and confident leader in your students' lessons and actively work to find different ways to create engagement and participation among your students. For you to succeed in your role, you need to be well acquainted with the school's governing documents and be skilled at expressing yourself in speech and writing. We see that you have good subject knowledge and a clearly structured teaching approach. You work on language development in all subjects and conduct varied teaching. You see documentation and assessment of students' knowledge development as a natural part of your work. You have a good ability for analysis and reflection and constantly develop your teaching.
