About the Job

We are currently seeking a labor market consultant for the welfare and leisure district in the Social Administration Nordost.

As a labor market consultant at Ungdomsporten, you will support young people in job searching, writing CVs, and preparing for job interviews. You will match young people with paid internships in various organizations within the City of Gothenburg and be responsible for the entire process – from securing placements to following up on internship periods.

The work involves leading the recruitment of young people before each internship starts and maintaining ongoing contact with both the youth and supervisors. You will also be responsible for personnel administration such as contracts, time reporting, and payroll documentation.

Your role also includes planning and conducting workshops and other activities with a labor market focus, as well as working closely with field workers and other internal partners.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in areas such as communication, pedagogy, or social work, and who has experience working with youth in a guiding or leading role. You should have good knowledge of labor market issues for young people and experience in administrative work. You also need to be very computer literate, as the position is largely system-intensive.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with matching individuals to workplaces and if you have experience in municipal operations. Experience working with youth with mental health issues or individuals with disabilities is also a plus. Experience with Personec is considered an asset.

To succeed in this role, you need to have a good ability to build relationships and communicate clearly in both speech and writing. You treat everyone with respect and can easily adapt your communication style to the target group and situation.

The position requires you to be structured and independent, enjoy taking initiatives, and be able to adapt to changing circumstances. Since Ungdomsporten is a developing organization, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to shaping work methods and routines.
