Your new job

Working in home care means that you will perform care and support work as well as service efforts in the client's home based on the implementation plan. As a trained nursing assistant, you will also become a permanent care contact. In your role, social documentation and communication with citizens, colleagues, and relatives are a central part of the job. We always work based on the client's needs and wishes, with a dignified and professional approach characterized by respect, trust, and care, which is the foundation of our operations.

Your qualifications

Primarily, we are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. Longer work experience in elderly care may replace the educational requirement. It is an advantage if you have previously worked in elderly care and specifically in home care.

You must master Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension as a central part of the job is to communicate with citizens and relatives, as well as to write documentation and read information relevant to the work.

Good cycling skills and a B driver's license are desirable and required in certain groups.

You have a genuine interest in working with people and work service-oriented towards our clients. You remain calm in stressful situations and see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you have the ability to collaborate with your colleagues and reason and discuss solutions in a constructive manner. The work requires that you are flexible and structured in your work. It is important that you take responsibility for your tasks and perform them with precision. As a person, we believe you are also stable, secure, and proactive.

In home care, there are a total of 24 groups and 1 area pool that work throughout Jönköping Municipality. With a focus on providing quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Good to know

We work with coordinated recruitment, which means that we will match your application against the needs in the area. Currently, we have needs in the following groups: Vätterängen, Öxnehaga, Rosenlund, Östra Centrum, Tenhult, Huskvarna Norr, and Dunkehalla.

If you are called for an interview, we would like you to bring your diploma and employment certificates from previous workplaces. This is to ensure that the process does not take longer than necessary.

The recruitment concerns permanent positions full-time, hourly positions, and vacation replacements. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, weekdays, and every other weekend with a varying schedule. Jönköping Municipality strives for full-time as the norm and always offers a 100% employment rate. You who apply have the opportunity to specify another desired employment rate during an interview. We work with joint planning, which means that work in several home care groups will be relevant. A probationary employment may be applied.
