Your new job

We are looking for someone who wants to work and develop the medical services of student health for the health of children and adolescents, as well as support their development towards educational goals at Talavidskolan.

The school nurse's mission is to collaborate with school management, student health staff, and other personnel to create conditions for students' health, development, and learning. You will be part of the school's student health team, which consists of school management, special educators, and a counselor, and we also collaborate with a school psychologist, school doctor, and speech therapist regularly. You will also be part of the school's safety team, where we work to develop safety initiatives at the school. Additionally, you will be responsible for the school's attendance-promoting efforts.

The school nurse's preventive and health-promoting mission is based on the regulations outlined in the health and medical care act, the education act, and guidance for student health. The tasks include health visits, health conversations, vaccinations, job-specific health checks, and issues concerning students' working environment.

You will have your own open reception, and a few times per term, you will have a school doctor reception. Within the medical services of student health, we work systematically with quality development and improvement efforts. You will participate in the process work of school nurses/school doctors. Welcome to us

Talavidskolan is a F-6 school located centrally in Jönköping, just a stone's throw from Lake Vättern, offering a fantastic view of the lake. Talavidskolan is one of the municipality's oldest schools and is situated on historic ground. It was here that the king changed his entourage during his Eriksgata. The school and the area got its name because it was here that people spoke. The school consists of two buildings: the old school where grades 4-6 are located and our student health team. The other building is a newly constructed school housing grades F-3 and a new cafeteria. The schoolyard has been renovated and invites play and movement.

Approximately 440 students attend Talavidskolan, from preschool to grade 6. Of these, about 270 students are in our after-school program, which consists of five different departments.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in open health care or health care for children and adolescents, or alternatively training as a school nurse. You can work independently but also have good collaboration skills. You have a genuine interest in working with children and adolescents. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
